ITANAGAR, May 11:Addressing the trainees and resource persons on “ Space Based Information Support” being organized by the State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) and the department of Science and Technology , Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with NRSC and NEASC, Department of Space here today, Parliamentary Secretary, Tapuk Taku said “in this era of Science and Technology we have seen tremendous development in every field through the space technology covering Remote Sensing , GIS, GPS and communication”.

Earlier while delivering and extending welcome address to resource persons and trainees from all the line departments, the Secretary Science and Technology Er. Gaken Ete said planning is an integral part of functioning of any government and there is urgent need to provide up-to- date and reliable spatial information on various resources along with the field level attributes so that planning exercise pertaining to development activities can be taken up in a scientific and timely manner. He further stated for regular conduct of such workshop so that all the line departments, work departments are properly and fully benefitted.

The trainees from the respective line departments, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, took active part in the training.
