ITANAGAR, Dec 10: Haryana State Assembly Deputy Speaker Ranbir Singh Gangwa on Friday paid an official visit to Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Gangwa accompanied by MLA Varun Chaudhry and a team of officers from Haryana Assembly Secretariat, was on a three-day State visit to study the implementation of e-vidhan project in the Arunachal Assembly. 
Arunachal Assembly is first in the northeast and third in the country to have successfully implemented the ambitious National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project.  Speaker Pasang D Sona and Secretary APLA Kago Habung received the Haryana Deputy Speaker and his team at the Assembly and felicitated them with traditional scarves and gifts.
The Haryana Deputy Speaker and Arunachal Speaker discussed at length about the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project and other issues pertaining to regional cooperation.
During the course of discussion, Sona informed the visiting guests that the whole idea of NeVA project was not only to make all functions of the Assembly paperless but also to save time, money and energy. 
Highlighting about the benefits of e-Vidhan project, the Speaker said that the paperless project not only is helping the Assembly proceedings efficiently but also reduces environmental hazards due to use of papers. The Speaker also informed that a paper Recycling Unit has been installed at the Assembly complex to re-use waste papers.
Meanwhile, appreciating the Arunachal Assembly for successfully implementing the NeVA project, the Haryana Deputy Speaker sought for necessary guidance from the Arunachal Assembly, adding that they are also planning to bring in the digital project in their Assembly. 
“We have come here to learn from you as we are also planning to make our Assembly paperless,” the Deputy Speaker said while congratulating Sona for having implemented the project successfully in Arunachal Assembly.   Earlier, through a PowerPoint presentation the visiting guests were explained thoroughly about the e-Vidhan project and its functions by the officials of Arunachal Assembly.   Later, Deputy Speaker, MLA and officials of Haryana Assembly were taken on a tour of the Assembly Complex and visited the Assembly Hall, Library, DK Auditorium, NeVA Center and newly inaugurated paper recycling unit. The visiting guests also practically experienced the e-Vidhan application.
