Ziro, Dec 4: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri, Somcha Lowang and DDSE Tabia Chobin interacted with the teachers , students and School Management Committee members of Govt.Middle School Dutta and  the Goan Buras and Buris at the school premises on Friday.
Established in 1974, the school will be celebrating its golden jubilee in 2024.
Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang called for unified efforts from all to revive the school to regain its lost glory.
"Government schools have  the best pool of qualified teachers but sadly they have been performing far below average. All the teachers need to  introspect and  contribute their bit to revamp the education scenario of the district," she added.
Enquiring about the stipend enrollment status of the students, she advised the students to be aware of the facilities provided by the government.
"My office will be always accessible to all the students," she further added while encouraging the students to visit offices and learn about all the welfare schemes provided by the government. The DDSE asked the teachers to re-dedicate themselves to bring back the glory of Ziro in the field of education.

"The scenario of government schools right now is not very encouraging, inspite of the fact that qualified teachers  are being posted in the schools. The teaching fraternity will have to retrospect and regain the trust and faith of  the parents to increase the enrollment in the government schools," he said.
Also calling for the SMCs to be involved in the welfare activities of the school, he said that SMCs should have regular sittings with the teachers , hear out their problems and find solutions. DIPRO
