ITANAGAR, May 11: Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju today urged the denizens to refrain from creating unnecessary hurdles in development projects especially PMGSY projects.

Addressing a public meeting at Sangdupota circle under Papum Pare District, the MoS reiterated that Arunachal Pradesh has got highest allocation in PMGSY road projects on the grounds of security and strategic location but maximum of road project are pending in the state due to fighting over mere contract works and court cases.

While responding  to a memorandum submitted by the local MLA cum Minister UD Town Planning Nabam Rebia for construction of Trans Arunachal Highway from Itanagar to Pakke Kessang via Jote Sangdupota-Habia and road from Sangdupota to Tarasso , release of 2nd installment against road from Kamo to Tapioso , road from Jote to Balijan and Indoor Stadium with community hall at Sangdupota, Rijiju has assured  to   look  into it while cautioning that  no  project should be halted for mere contract works and court cases.

Among others, local MLA cum Minister UD Town Planning, Nabam Rebia, BJP state vice president Tame Phassang, also spoken on the occasion.

The programme also  was attended by DC Papum pare T Kaye , SP  T Ammo ,Senior BJP Leader Techi Necha , former MLA Nurang Pinch, President BJP Papum pare unit Tana Hali, Panchayat leaders and public
