NAMSAI, Jan 15:Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Sunday inspected the stretch of Trans Arunachal Highway from '0' point Mahadevpur up to Buri Dihing in Lekang circle. He was accompanied by Namsai MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary Chow Zingnu Namchoom, Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma and representative of the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited and the construction firm M/s DRAIPL-PH (JV). The particular stretch is of 25.3KM and connects with the NH 52. 

   Mein raised his concern regarding the height of the TAH in this stretch as it runs through one of the worst flood prone areas and thus called for undertaking correctional steps in accordance with the actual High Flood Level (HFL). He asked both the executing agency and the construction agency to complete the work in stipulated time as there is no disturbance from any side unlike in some places where the works are yet to begin due to various complications. Both the agencies assured to complete the construction work by May next.

  Earlier the DCM also visited the Namsai Mini Stadium premises which is the venue for the upcoming celebration of one year achievement of the State Government to be held onJanuary 23 next. He reviewed the preparations going on in full swing in presence of Namsai MLA Chow Zingnu Namchoom and DC Namsai RK Sharma.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu alongwith a host of ministers, MLAs, BJP functionaries will be attending the event to be preceded by inauguration of offices of the Divisional Commissioner  (East ), Chief Engineers of PWD and PHED besides the SE,RWD at Namsai on  January 22 next.

  Later in the evening, DCM also visited the drug de-addiction camp at Mahadevpur which is being jointly organised by Women Welfare Association of Narcotics Cell, Mahadevpur, Arunachal Pali Vidyapeeth, Chongkham and Anti-Drugs Action Committee, Namsai.

He met the patients undergoing treatment at the camp and encouraged them to undergo the necessary treatment there in order to overcome addiction and start leading vibrant lives. He assured to look into the request for financial assistance for the camp.
