ITANAGAR, May 2: In response to rising concerns among parents over the recent fee hike by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has intervened to address the issue.
AAPSU Education Secretary, Pura Nado informed that the union is in active contact with the school authorities and is working towards an amicable solution. Highlighting the seriousness of the matter, he said AAPSU has taken strong note of the grievances expressed by parents regarding the financial burden caused by the sudden increase in fees.
Nado further revealed that the President AAPSU, Meje Taku has personally reached out to the head of the VKV Trust. However, the authority concerned is currently out of town and has assured that a proper meeting will be convened upon their return to deliberate on the issue and work towards a solution.
Reiterating its commitment to student welfare, Nado stated that it will continue to engage with the VKV management to ensure that the fee structure is reviewed and rationalised. The union also appealed to the school authorities to adopt a considerate approach, keeping in mind the economic challenges faced by parents, while urging all stakeholders to remain patient as efforts are underway to resolve the matter at the earliest.
