“Being one of the largest tribes of the state, our Tagin brothers and sisters have contributed immensely in development of our state besides maintaining peace and harmony. May this joyous celebration of Si-Donyi strengthen the bond amongst all communities,” he said.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that the festival will successfully invoke the Almighty to usher in a new era of peace and progress in the state. While lauding the indigenous communities of the state for taking pride in their respective culture, he said celebration of festivals such as Si-Donyi is one proven way of preserving indigenous culture for posterity.
“Si Donyi is our supreme guardian who protects and takes our good care. Come let us together celebrate our splendid culture and tradition with joy and gaiety,” he added.
