Itanagar, Sep 4 : Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd.), has extended his warm greetings to the entire teaching community of Arunachal Pradesh on the joyous occasion of Teachers’ Day. He complimented the dedication, wisdom and compassion of our teachers, whose guidance shapes the minds of students and also their character and values.
In his message, the Governor said that teaching is a noble profession with a profound responsibility to enlighten, inspire and prepare young people for life. A teacher’s words, example and encouragement can remain with a student for a lifetime. Teachers are, therefore, the builders of individuals and the foundation of a progressive and responsible society. He urged the teachers to be ‘Game Changers’, socially responsible, innovative and committed to nurturing confident, skilled and ethical young citizens.
The Governor said that our educational institutions must prepare students to become assets to society, innovative, employable, enterprising and capable of creating opportunities and generating sustainable wealth by responsibly harnessing Arunachal Pradesh’s abundant natural and human resources.
The Governor said that Teachers’ Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent scholar, philosopher, teacher and former President of India, whose life exemplified the transformative power of education.
May this occasion inspire our teachers and students to uphold the highest ideals of knowledge, integrity, compassion and service, and contribute to a united, enlightened and prosperous Arunachal Pradesh and India, Parnaik said in his message.
