Itanagar, Aug 20: The training for in-service teachers of Government Schools of Capital Complex began today at VKV Nirjuli, VKV Chimpu and Holy Cross School. The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan inaugurated the programme at VKV Nirjuli where elementary teachers are undergoing training.

Addressing the teachers, he stressed that focus should be on the elementary level as it is when students develop the foundation of their educational career and urged the trainees to be sincere and work dedicatedly.

He further stressed that the performance of the Xth and XIIth board exams last year shows a very sorry state of affairs. Though many schools are lacking infrastructure, the district administration is trying to fulfil all the infrastructural gaps through the newly launched scheme of the state government viz Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana, informed the DC. He further said the performance of a school depends on the teachers and the students as can be seen in earlier days when there was no infrastructure, yet the quality of education was never compromised.

“The training is also being organised to ensure two-way communication and sharing of knowledge as it will not only help the trainees to gain knowledge but also to impart and share their knowledge and that is how the knowledge grows as learning is a continuous process,”  said the DC.

The Training has been organised by DA on CSR basis without any burden on govt exchequer.

Principal VKV Nirjuli SC Dixit also spoke on the essence of education and stressed why the right ambience is necessary for better performance.

Tori Gadi, APO highlighted the purpose and importance of in-service training.

At Holy Cross School, Tame Yajum, EAC and Kago Rinya Tarh, Department of Education graced the inaugural session. Yajum in her speech asked the teachers to take maximum benefit from the training as it is being held for the betterment of the student community who are the backbone of the nation. At VKV Chimpu, Moyir Kato, CO and Joana P Bagang, Planning Coordinator graced the inaugural session.
