Jullang, Aug 28: Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Tai Tagak attended the Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvaad (Khelo India Dialogue) at Don Bosco College, Jullang, Itanagar, on Thursday organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), as part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, conducted across the country with participation of youth at two colleges in every district across States and Union Territories. MY Bharat is an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to empower Indian youth providing social mobility, educational equity, and practical skills. The programme was held in line with the Prime Minister's vision of building a fit, disciplined and sporting nation while placing the aspirations of youth at the centre of the national development agenda.
MLA of Nari-Koyu, Tojir Kadu; Principal Father Dr. Josh George, State Director MY Bharat, Dr. Salman D. Singh, faculty, officials and other distinguished guests were among those present.
Yuva Samvaad under Khelo India Dialogue focuses on fiive key themes: Sports, Olympic Aspirations, Youth Leadership, Viksit Bharat and Nasha Mukt Yuva. The programme aims to help the youth engage with India's sporting journey, share their aspirations, and contribute ideas for a stronger youth-led Viksit Bharat.
The national programme was followed by local interactions involving young participants, MY Bharat volunteers, local sportspersons and public representatives. A major feature of the initiative was direct interaction between youth having interest in sports and leading Indian athletes and medal winners. A central feature of the programme was Yuva Samvaad where young participants were invited to articulate their own ideas, perspectives and aspirations. 
MP Tai Tagak in his address pointed out that youth are the backbone of the nation and the architects of the future. When we empower them today, we secure a better tomorrow. To those still in school, tell about the power of education. Education is not just about passing exams, but rather the foundation for discipline, character, and opportunity. Encourage them to dream big, and to always stay focused, Tagak said.
On the occasion, the Viksit Bharat Nasha Mukt Pledge was administered, reinforcing collective commitment to a healthy, drug-free nation.
