ITANAGAR, Sep 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party (AP)  today countering allegations of slackness by the State Congress in the recent paper leak in the engineering exam conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, said that the 'corrupt practices emerging today is a gift of the Congress government.'
"Such corrupt practices were going on since the Congress regime in the state, but it’s the Pema Khandu-led government that has rooted out such corruption from the state. From lower level to top level officers have been arrested for various corruption charges," said BJP spokesperson Mohesh Chai while addressing a press conference at the Press Club today.
Slamming the APCC for pointing finger at the state government over the APPSC paper leak controversy, Chai categorically denied any kind of delay tactics by the investigation agency or state government to unearth the truth behind the paper leak fiasco.
"Chief Minister Pema Khandu has already stated that corruption in any form will not be tolerated and dealt with an iron hand. Moreover, Police has already arrested at least five people in connection with the case and even the case has been recommended to SIT," he said.
Meanwhile, Nabam Vivek who is also the Spokesperson of state BJP refuted the allegation made by the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA), President Kahfa Bengia  on illegal appointments in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
"There is no illegal appointment in the CMO; all the staff are from their parent departments. Moreover, the allegation on two people in the CMO was appointed  before the establishment of APSSB, that too from their parent department which is “Hospitality Department”  with proper interview & advertisement," claimed Nabam Vivek.
