PASIGHAT, Oct 29:Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI, a daylong training program on youth leadership on capacity development program was organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pasighat here at the EngoTakar Hall on Saturday. Addl. Dy. Commissioner (Hq) Tatdo Borang graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Er. KalingTaki as resource person imparted the training to hundreds of youths.

Addressing the participants, ADC Borang said youths are the backbone and such training programs makes them more valuable in today's modern society.  He also dwelt on the Centre’s schemes for youth development.

One of the best and the most important initiatives taken by the government of India, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims at a clean and hygienic country, he said and urged youths to take the message far and wide.

Earlier, District Youth Coordinator (NYK), Tapun Taki in his brief address informed about the activities of the Kendra involving youths.

‘The youths associated with Nehru Yuva Kendras are not only socially aware and motivated but are also inclined towards social development work through voluntary efforts,’ he said.

Later an open-house discussion on Swachh Brarat Mission was held.
