TEZU, Mar 3: The Science Club in collaboration with the Department of Sciences of Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu celebrated the World Wildlife Day on the theme “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration” today.
Principal Dr Kangki Megu, highlighted the importance of preservation and protection of wildlife and stated how deterioration of the same brings disequilibrium in the environment. DFO Lohit, Tobang Pertin advised the students to spread awareness about wildlife conservation through such platforms across the state.
Dr. Daniel Mize, Associate Professor, Dept of Zoology, RGU, Rono Hills , the invited Resource Person spoke about avifauna of Arunachal Pradesh and stated how birds as key species are important for ecosystem sustenance.
