ITANAGAR, Oct 13:The World Sight Day 2017 was celebrated on Thursday, at Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing Impaired, Chimpu, Itanagar. It was organised by Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar in collaboration with Light for the World, Austria & Mission for Vision, Mumbai. World Sight Day (WSD) is an annual day of awareness, held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. This year, the “Call to Action” for World Sight Day is “Make Vision Count”.
An eye screening was also conducted by the RKM Hospital team for the visually impaired students.
