PASIGHAT, Feb 2: 

An intensive workshop and exhibition on Art & Culture was organized under the aegis of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Apex Professional University campus here today.

 

An artisan himself, Abu Tatum, a senior citizen from the Adi community graced the day as Chief Guest. He spoke at length on the rich culture of the Arunachalis with special emphasis on the artefacts created from bamboo and other locally available materials. He encouraged the students to do well in their studies and also remain rooted to the local culture.

 

 

The students displayed various artefacts and traditional items. A couple of students displayed their talent in weaving and also enlightened the audience in the skills involved.

 

 Earlier, Registrar of APU gave the welcome address.
