ITANAGAR, Dec 13:  All Mishmi Women Welfare Society (AMWWS) Lohit and Women Welfare Society Anjaw have urged the concern authority to immediately arrest the Development Officer Textile and Handloom posted in Anjaw for allegedly assaulting a Mishmi girl.

 In its press statement, both the organization claimed that accused has assaulted the girl after she refused sexual advancement sought by the officer on December 1last. A case has been already registered against the accused   but till date he is at large.

Also condemning the incident in its strongest term both AMWWS and WWSA have urged the concern department to take stern action against such erring government officer as per rule .
