ITANAGAR, Aug 22:Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women-cum-Protection of Child Rights, Chairperson Mitali Tingkhatra today sought status report from the Women Police Station, Itanagar regarding the alleged child molestation by accused Tani Jongkey. The Officer-in-Charge, WPS communicated that they are waiting for the medical report before beginning the proceedings.

Tingkhtra also contacted the Superintending Medical Officer (SMO), Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, Naharlagun, who informed that the medical report has been submitted to the court by the medical board.

Further, Child Welfare Committee Capital Complex Chairperson Kani Nada Maling has also submitted the report regarding the said molestation case to the CWC to initiate necessary disciplinary action under the CCS Conduct Rules. In a joint statement, the Commission has strongly urged the state government to take immediate action against the alleged accused involved in the molestation of an 11-year-old girl.
