PASIGHAT, Nov 11:   

 

The Women Against Social Evils (WASE) which has been fighting against drug abuse and menace of IMFL here in the district has helped police in arresting a woman drug peddler on Thursday evening who was reportedly selling drugs even to minors of the area.

 

While informing about the arrest, Joya Tasung Moyong, Gen. Secy. WASE said that, the team had gone to counsel two drug addicts on request of their parents at Muriline/Airfield area and they revealed the name of the woman, one Dutta Buri who has been selling drugs to many users. Accordingly, the administration raided her home and also found Marijuana weighing 38 grams. Case has been registered under NDPS Act and the woman arrested.

 

Meanwhile, WASE has appealed all not to seek bail for the arrestee as she has been accused in the past as well.
