KANUBARI, Dec 20: 


Kanubari MLA cum Chairman APSCIT & e Governance Gabriel Denwang Wangsu on Monday inaugurated the new office of the Executive Engineer Water Resource Division here at Kanubari in presence of Longding Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Malik , Er. B K Karki, SE Water Resource circle, Namsai, HoDs, Panchayat and public leaders and general public. 
Addressing on the occasion, the MLA while appreciating the WRD team for bringing up the structure, stressed on the gathering to get maximum benefit of the assured irrigation to their rain-fed cultivable command area and try to bridge up the gap between agricultural potentials available and called for utilizing the help of the new team to gain sustainable employment.
The MLA said that the Kanubari constituency has the largest cultivable land which is still to be covered with irrigation facility, adding that establishment of the new office would definitely help in tapping the possible water resources and develop the desired irrigation infrastructure with participatory management to fulfill the vision of sustainable development. 
Wangsu further advised all stakeholders to be vigilant and cautious in the use of land and forest resources to get maximum benefit in the interest of the common people.

 

The DC, in his address congratulated the people of Kanubari for one more office in a series which would fulfill the long felt demand of the people and prove once again to be in lead role in tapping the resources. Dynamic and visionary approach of the local MLA towards attaining real development through his constant trail of innovative ideas in the entire field including agriculture, horticulture, fisheries etc is contributing to the area enormously, he added.


Later, the MLA accompanied by the DC and HoDs visited Mopakhat Tea Estate, Mopakhat Coffee nursery, ITI complex and inspected the land development work site for construction of new school building at Banfera, the paramount village of Kanubari circle.
