ITANAGAR, Dec 12: Veteran Adi traditional Ponung Aabang singer and Head Gaon Bura of Bomi village, Mariyang, Soso Pertin passed away on December 11 last at his residence at the age of 97 years.   

Hailing from Damro village, late Pertin started his Solung Ponung Aabang career in 1957 and continued till 2017 over a long stint of 60 years.

His narration of Aabang has been aired at All India Radio Station, Pasighat.   

His mortal remains was laid to rest today as per Adi custom and tradition at Mariyang.
