ITANAGAR, Aug 26:An FIR has been lodged against DC, Siang district by the district unit of Adi Students Union (AdiSU) and Siang District Student Union (SDSU) for allegedly misbehaving and using abusive language, when the team visited the formers office to request him to extend the date of computer efficiency test of UDC, LDC and MTS, scheduled to be held on August 30 next.

The Adi Students Union (AdiSU) on Friday had requested the Chief Minister to direct the Deputy Commissioner, Siang District to extend the date of the test in order to give sufficient preparation time to aspiring candidates.

The union informed that DC had notified that the result of written examination of the said vacant posts earlier conducted on August 19 last will be declared on August 29 next and to conduct the Computer application test on August 30 and 31 next.

They asked for the postponement of the exam to which I assured them that adequate time has been given to the students to reach and appear in the examination hassle free. Despite continued appeals to maintain peace and render cooperation in the successful conduct of examination, the members maintained an aggressive stance, used foul language and threatened to defame through media and other social networking sites, the DC added.

Even I asked them to cooperate with the administration as the exam is being conducted in a very fair manner. However they maintained their aggressive stance, did not heed to the request to peacefully leave and finally I had to order the security guards to escort the team out, DC said.

A police complaint has been registered at the Pangin Police Station against Tagu Mibang, President SDSU under section 107/151 CRPC for disturbing peace and tranquillity and also causing disturbance in official work, the DC further disclosed.
