ITANAGAR, Dec 10: Two separate kidnapping incidents were reported on December 9, however in both the cases kidnappers failed to execute the crime. 

‘At Itanagar, one Baya Siram, a resident of  F-Sector Itanagar  reported that his son Yakar Siram  was abducted by 3 persons on December 9 evening. However his son was found Sunday morning in unconscious state in the jungle area of Niti Vihar,’ informed Superintendent of Police, Capital Complex, Sagar Singh Kalsi. 

Immediately a case 331/17 us 364/ 341 IPC was lodged at Police Station Itanagar and investigation has been taken up.

‘Teams were formed to nab the culprits and subsequently one accused Indra Subba has been apprehended. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused involved in the crime,’ informed the SP. 

In another failed kidnapping case at Diyun under Changlang District, on the night of December 9 last, four personnel with fake arms attempted to kidnap the owner of Padam Tea Estate at Mudoi near Diyun Circle. However showing alertness, tea garden labourers nabbed one of the accused Chow Keping Manlong of Nongtawo Khamti, Namsai. 

‘During the  rescue  effort  angry  mob beat the accused  Manlong  badly as a result his left leg was fractured and the others fled away from the  crime scene,’ informed Officer In-charge, Diyun Police Station,  Ajay Kumar.

Investigation is on to arrest the other three accused involved the case, added the OC. 

On receipt of information, a team rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured person to the Community Health Center Diyun for medical assistance. Meanwhile, Police has  registered a case vide Diyun PS case no.13/17 U/S 365/511/448/324/34 IPC R/W 27 arms act .
