The assurance from the Secretary came after the AAPPTF led by its president Dobing Sonam called on Deori at her office in the Civil Secretariat here and submitted a memorandum demanding allotment of a permanent office to Directorate of Transport, preferably at the proposed Mini Secretariat in Naharlagun as promised by the authorities earlier.
The AAPPTF in its representation stated that the directorate of transport which is one of the most important establishments of the government in terms of revenue collection is presently situated at the vicinity of the proposed Mini Secretariat. However, after the execution of Mini Secretariat, the office of the directorate would be demolished.
Secretary Deori, who said that allotting a space to the Directorate of Transport at the proposed Mini Secretariat in Naharlagun would not possible following an incorrect drawing of map by the PWD executive engineer concerned, however, assured that the directorate would be allotted a proper place to set up its office soon.
