KHONSA, Oct 24:Tirap district formally launched the PM’s UJALA Scheme at the hands of MLA –cum- Chairman, APSMPB  Wanglam Sawin in presence of Deputy Commissioner Tirap, PN Thungon among others.

While launching the scheme, Sawin, urged the district administration, HoDs and PRIs to spread awareness about the benefits of using energy efficient appliances. He appealed all power consumers of the district to avail the subsidy provided by the government under the scheme and also appreciated the effort of APEDA, Khonsa.

Earlier Project Officer in-charge Er Y Ronya highlighted the benefits of using energy efficient appliances. She also regretted the delay in launching of the scheme in the district due to non receipt of appliances on time despite being launched in the state on July 17 last at Itanagar.
