ITANAGAR, Jul 18:A group of 10 meritorious students along with escort teachers are on a three day science exposure visit to the Indian Institute of Science, IISC, Bangalore from July 19-21 next.
The team is led by Pakngu Lombi, Scientist-‘B’ & Deputy Director (Technical), A.P State Council for Science & Technology, Itanagar. The team will visit important centers like ISRO-Exhibition centre, Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Indian Institute of Science, Lalbagh Botanical Garden and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM) etc.
Exposure to these scientific institutions will give children a wider dimension and help them to gain scientific temperament and encourage them to take up science as career in future as just the lecture delivery and demonstration would not be adequate for children to motivate. It will be helpful to expose children of Arunachal Pradesh towards the practical aspects of science and technology and getting a firsthand experience into the advancement made and achieved in the field of science and technology in the country, the department said in a release.
