ITANAGAR, Jan 30: The Koloriang Damin Parsi parlo and Sarli Student Union(KDPSSU) has demanded the termination of all the illegally transferred ANM, GNM, and Nursing Officers recruited under the National Health Mission from Kurung Kumey district for violating laid down norms.
Speaking to reporters at the press club today, President KDPSSU Keji Chabok informed that the union has submitted a representation to the Health Minister and Mission Director NHM seeking their immediate intervention. He further added that, besides the termination of illegally transferred employees of NHM, the union has also demanded administrative approval for the post of Block Community Mobilizer (BCM), Block Data Manager, and Account Manager in the district, as well as immediate transfer and posting of Doctor and other medical staff at Chera Talo District Hospital, Koloriang.
He also pointed out that the undertaking the selected staff signed, clearly stated that the post is non-transferable, so they cannot be transferred to other districts. He vehemently requested the government to either terminate the transferees as per guidelines or to reinstate them back to their appointed district.
“We have been dealing with it since 2020,” said General Secretary KDPSSU-Chello Tugbin , stating that the transfer that has been done to other districts over these years without providing any reliever is illegal because under the norms of NHM it is clearly specified that the contractual base job is not transferable to other districts.
Tugbin also asserted that the union has constantly submitted memorandums and ultimatums to the administration as well as to the Secretary of Health and Family Welfare, and to the Mission Director, National Health Mission but didn’t get any positive outcome yet. So in response to that we organized a peaceful rally in Koloriang on 13th June 2023, he added.
During our agitation, in the form of a rally, we got an assurance from the Mission Director's office to wait for 15 days stating that the issue has been filed and the government is trying to solve the issue. But it is over a year now and no action has been taken, stated Tugbin. He further informed that a fresh memorandum to the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Alo Libang and a reminder letter to the Mission Director on 22, January last has been submitted.
