DOIMUKH, Jul 17: Expressing resentment over the free movement and grazing of unattended cattle like mithun, goat and cows in the Rajiv Gandhi University campus, Rajiv Gandhi University Research Scholars’ Forum (RGURSF) has lodged a complaint to Sub Division Officer, Doimukh seeking his intervention and immediate action .
Forum in its representation opined that the District Administration should immediately pay attention as the numbers of stray cattle are increasing drastically in the recent times, adversely affecting the campus’ alluring environment and academic activities.
'It is also learnt that the University Authority had earlier issued public notice to all the concerned owners banning their cattle inside the campus premises. However no positive response has been seen yet', stated a release.
