PASIGHAT, Oct 12: In pursuance of the District Administration’s recent order not to let loose cattle on the streets of Pasighat, in the second phase today a total of 6 cows were auctioned.
The first phase of auction was held on 8th October last and the third phase will be held on 16th October next.
Citizens of the township have been appealed not to let loose their cattle on street which is also causing road accidents. According to Manning Moyong, stray pigs will be shot at sight if citizens fail to comply to the order.
This effort of District Administration is being seen as a 1st step towards Smart City Pasighat beautification measure. The administration has also banned littering of waste and plastic along the road between Pasighat-Bodak, Mebo, Ruksin, Bilat etc.
