UA Minister inspects burial ground, focuses on maintenance and improvement
ITANAGAR, Jul 2:A video conferencing of Union Home secretary government of India was held today on emergency response support system (ERSS), also known as dial-112 with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Home Commissioner, inspector Generals and others officials of the home department.
It has been decided in the conferencing that an integrated response system for dealing with emergencies related to police, fire and health department will be developed under the ERSS scheme of Government of India.
This will help common citizens to report crime, fire incidents and other medical emergencies by dialing 112, which is being used as a common number for emergencies throughout the country, an official release from Home department stated.
In this regards , a state level control room will be developed at police headquarters Itanagar where calls made from all over the state will be received, and then forwarded directly to response vehicles such as PCR vehicles, Fire tenders and ambulances through GPS enabled transmitters fitted in them.
The project will initially be implemented in selected 9 districts in the first phase and Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) would be implementing the scheme in the state with technical support from centre of development of advanced computing government of India.
Papumpare, Capital Complex, East Siang, Lower Subansiri, Lower Dibang Valley , Tirap, West Kameng and Namsai are pinned for the first phase of the project and will be extended to other districts too. The project would be launched on the occasion of statehood day 2019.
