 ITANAGAR, Oct 24: Education sector in the state has received a facelift as the State Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday approved for creation of 1309 teaching and non teaching posts under Education department.

  Out of 1309 posts, 1130 posts are solely for teaching staff which also includes 349 science and maths subject posts. While 273 posts have been created for Higher Secondary Schools which includes 9 Principals, 174 PGT (Arts), 40 PGT Science and Maths, 19 PGT Commerce and 31 Lab Assistant posts, Government Secondary Schools got 857 posts  which included 83 head masters/vice principals, 744 TGT out of which 309 posts are of science and maths subjects and 30 physical education teachers.

 Beside 57 new posts of teaching staff under State Council for Education Research and Training, DIET and BITE has been created, another 55 non teaching staff posts have been created for SCERT, DIET and BITE.  The Council of Minister further approved for creation of 18 new posts under Directorate of Elementary Education. In order to fill the requirement of posts after creation of new districts, all total 49 posts of various categories was approved by the cabinet for new DDSE offices.

 Cabinet further decided to complete the recruitment process through Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission as per norms.
