ITANAGAR, Nov 6: All Arunachal Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (CEC AASSATA) today began its statewide 3-day casual leave cum dharna in protest against non-fulfillment of its grievances. Sit-in protests were carried statewide in the premises of DDSE cum DPO in the respective district headquarters.

Around 6815 SSA Teachers from 2030 primary and 1003 upper primary schools wholeheartedly participated in the first day which ended peacefully.

The CEC AASSATA in its release blamed the government for the educational loss incurred resulting from non materialization of proper policy towards the fraternity.

Citing that ample time was given to the government before launching the stir, the association said it is determined and urged the government to respond at the earliest to stop further loss to students.

SSA teachers have been demanding for batch wise regularization (one batch in one DPC) and enhancement of salaries as per the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission and Bidol Tayeng Committee recommendation.
