ITANGAR, Nov 20: After no response from the concerned authority despite repeated pleas and threaten of launching democratic movement, at least 6815 SSA teachers from 2030 primary and 1003 upper primary schools across the state resorted to six- day  pen down strike on Monday under the banner of All Arunachal Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Association (AASSATA) .

AASSATA is demanding enhancement of salary under DEE in pretext to 7th CPC with Gazette Notification, Regularization of one batch in one DPC, immediate issue of Gazette notification on Single Window Entry for in-service SSA PRT at DEE and others.

‘The six-day pen down strike will continue as the state government has shown no interest to respond to our grievances,’ informed President CEC, AASSATA Tarak Agung Tarh while speaking to this daily.

Earlier, to register their demands SSA teachers also organized three day Peaceful Dharna from November 6-8 last in  the premises of DDSE cum DPO office  in all  the district headquarters.
