ITANAGAR, Sep 5:The world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual leader and the founder of the Art of Living Foundation, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is visiting Arunachal Pradesh at the invitation of the State Government from September 8-10 next. During the tour, His Holiness will visit Itanagar, Ziro and Tawang. 

On 8th September, in Itanagar, Sri Sri’s program will include a meeting with bureaucrats, ministers and other politicians in the morning followed by a public program in IG Park in the evening (4:30 – 6:30 pm). The public program will include a performance showcasing the diverse culture of Arunachal Pradesh and will also see various community and faith leaders welcome His Holiness to Arunachal Pradesh. CM Pema Khandu and His Holiness will also address the gathering.

On 9th September, His Holiness will travel to Ziro for a Puja and public meeting at the Sidheshwar Nath Temple which hosts the largest Shivling in Asia. Sri Sri has said previously that Arunachal Pradesh has huge tourism potential and the Sidheshwar Nath Temple can be a huge draw for domestic tourists, tremendously benefiting the local economy as well.

On 10th September, His Holiness will be in Tawang as the Chief Guest at the Maitree Diwas Program being organized by CM Pema Khandu. Maitree Diwas is celebrated to promote closer ties between the Army and the civilian population and is being held after a gap of 7 years.
