PASIGHAT, Nov 13:Irked over inordinate delay in completion of much ambitious Trans-Arunachal Highway construction along the stretches of Gobuk village to Sijon Nalah in between Yingkiong and Mariyang, the Bharatiya Kishan Sangh has appealed both the state and central government to speed up the construction work, which was sanctioned in the year 2012.

Referring to other stretches of road towards district HQ, Yingkiong-Gobuk which are now almost ready, Bharatiya Kishan Sangh (BKS) Upper Siang, Secretary, Mondo Ratan has alleged that, the work in between Gobuk village and Sijon Nalah is progressing at snail pace, which is causing immense trouble to common people during their journey to Yingkiong.

He urged the concern authority to send strong direction to executing firms like JKM, KSPL, KNR (joint venture) to speed up the construction and complete it within stipulated time. “Non performing firms should be blacklisted and the work should be handed over to other performing firms,” he further added.
