DAPORIJO, Jan 3: The Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf after finding out that many schools in Upper Subansiri district are without libraries has recently provided books and other study materials from the district administration united fund to government higher secondary school, Daporijo.

In addition, the DC also provided almirahs & book shelves to many schools.

Earlier the DC along with local MLA, Punji Mara accompanied by HoDs, PRIs and public visited Lepajaring for site inspection for establishment of a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School.

Interacting with land donors, the DC informed that he is taking keen interest for establishment of the school for the benefit of students and people of the district. In this regards, the detail project report is also being prepared for submission to DC by the JNV zonal office, Shillong.
