ITANAGAR, Sep 26:

 

 

Following resounding success of the first edition of Arunachal Idol, the popular singing talent hunt show after a gap of one year is all set to make a return with its 2nd edition from December next in the search of the next singing sensation.

 

Youth icon cum Indian Idol top-10 finalist, singer Jeli Kaye along with singers, Karry Padu and Nokngam Lukham will be the judges of the event.

 

Registration is already underway and will continue till mega auditions. “Arunachal Idol aspirants can participate through multiple platforms through offline or online mode,” disclosed, Chairman AI, Mallo Attu in a press conference held at Press Club on Tuesday.

 

Attu informed that this year auditions are also open for non-Arunachalese which was not the case earlier, by producing proper documents or certificates of proof of residence.

 

Attu said that the previous edition was well-received by both the contestants and the community. We are  hopeful that the 2ndseason will be able to break new grounds and reach an even wider audience than before, he opined.

 

“The main aim of the event is to expose our youth’s hidden talents and to find out the most brilliant singer in the state by giving them a platform to exhibit their singing prowess,” he said.

 

 The district level auditions will commence from 1st week of October at various districts  headquarters like Pasighat, Aalo ,Namsai, Ziro ,Bomdila etc and Mega audition here at Itanagar in October last week, he further informed that  the winner will go home with a sum of Rupees 5 lakh along with certificate of participation.

 

The programme will be aired on DD NorthEast and other cable networks from October every Saturday and Sunday and one can vote their favorite contestant via SMS.

 

Meanwhile singer Jeli Kaye invited all to participate in the event and showcase their talent to the world.
