ZIRO, Aug 24:Parliamentary Secretary Legal Metrology and Consumer Affairs, Laisam Simai in his two day maiden tour to Ziro today inspected the trading premises and the petrol pumps in Ziro-Hapoli township. On finding few discrepancies in the petrol pumps, he directed the Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology and Consumer Affairs, Ziro to immediately direct the petrol pumps to initiate corrective measures. He also inspected the office premises of the District Consumer Protection Officer, Ziro and interacted with the officials. 

Later Simai also met Deputy Commissioner, Kemo Lollen and discussed elaborately on the functioning of District Consumer Redressal Forum and measures to strengthen it in consumer interest. 

He also visited Grace Rehabilitation Centre, Abuliyang and contributed cash for the medical needs of the inmates. 

The Parliamentary Secretary was accompanied by Hoktum Ori , Controller cum Director, Legal Metrology and Consumer Affairs and Debia Tana, Inspector, LM&CA.
