ITANAGAR, Dec 11: In all 13 top ranked shuttlers of the state along with three officials of Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) would on Tuesday leave for Guwahati to partake in the ensuing 42nd All India Junior (U-17 & U-19) National Badminton Championships.

The tournament would be played at the R G Boruah Sports Complex in Guwahati, Assam from December 14 to 18 next.

The shuttlers to represent the state in the tournament are Laa Tukum, Sonam Tamang, Raja Gupta, Biki Lakai, Asif Khan, Kirto Nyorak (Boys), Laa Yajum, Napi Tayem, Taku Neha, Kenbi Riram, Kapu Rumi and Mopi Yumlam (Girls).

All the selected players had been undergoing rigorous training under Coach, Dilip Gurung for the past few months.

Gita Karki, Aju Khonjuju and Laa Ribe would be accompanying the team as coach, manager and assistant manager respectively.

Meanwhile, Sports Authority of Arunachal chairman cum ASBA secretary Bamang Tago and joint secretary Penya Bagra have wished the players to perform well and win medals for the state.
