AALO, Dec 29: In its constant effort to expedite the justice delivery system in the district, Court of Additional Session judge West Session Division, Basar has convicted and sentenced accused Md. Meinol Haque, Henbin Basar and Pelin Lombi to undergo rigorous imprisonment in connection with various criminal cases registered against them in different Police Stations of the District.
Accused Md. Meinol Haque was convicted on 27/3/2017 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 1 year with fine of Rs. 500/ U/S 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. 2012 in connection with Dumporijo PS case No. 23/2015 U/S 323 IPC R/W section 4/18 of POCSO Act 2012 vide Basar sessions Case No. 27/3/2017.
Accused Henbin Basar was convicted on 18/12/2017 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years with fine U/S 4 of POCSO and 2 year’s rigorous imprisonment U/S 506 IPC in connection with Basar PS case No. 09/2015 U/S 376 IPC R/W sec 4 of POSCO Act. 2012 vide Basar Session Case No 12/15 dated 18/12/2017.
Accused Pelin Lombi was convicted on 12/12/2017 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 3 years with fine of Rs. 1000/- U/S 8 of POCSO in connection with Basar PS Case No. 26/2013 U/S 342/376/511 IPC R/W Sec 8 POSCO Act. 2012 vide Basar Session Case No. 877/14 dated 12/12/2017.
