ITANAGAR, Nov 30:The State Election Commission, Itanagar today condoled the demise of JM Tangu, the first Election Commissioner who passed away at Pasighat on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the State Election Commissioner Hage Kojeen, IAS (Retired) described Late Tangu as a fatherly figure and the first generation NEFA officer who contributed immensely in various capacities for the development of Arunachal Pradesh.
Former Minister Eken Riba who had worked with Late Tangu also mourned his sad demise and termed him (Tangu) an extraordinary person.
