DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap

ITANAGAR, Dec 3:Sainik School Goalpara (Assam) lifted both the junior and senior category of the regional level quiz competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Arunachal Pradesh unit on the theme ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ here today.
Attending as chief guest on the occasion, State General Secretary BJP, Jarpum Gamlin termed the competition as a great opportunity for the young talented students of the region to move forward in the national arena.
While appreciating the organizing team led by Tayum Tok and Mara Kocho, Gamlin opined that such competition needs to be organized from the grassroots level so that many more participants get a chance to compete in the district and state level.
While encouraging the participating teams, Guest of Honour Chairman Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Welfare Board (APB & OCWWB) Jalley Sonam underscored the importance of participating in such events.
‘Winning and losing is part of the game, what matters is your participation,’ he said also thanking the Chief Minister for sponsoring the programme.
The four selected winners two each from the junior and senior category will participate in the national level quiz competition to be held at Mumbai on January 7 next year.
Students from various educational institutions of the region like Sainik School Goalpara , Don Bosco School, Guwahati, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, Public College of Commerce, Dimapur, VKV School, Vivek Vihar, VKV Nirjuli, VKV Chimpu, KV-I Naharlagun, Government Gorkha Higher Secondary School, Aizwal participated in today’s regional level competition.
Also present on the occasion was National Additional Secretary BVP, Swadesh Ranjan, Regional Secretary (Sanskar) (NE) Dipak Kumar Dutta, Assam Prant BVP President Anil Chandra Sharma, Programme Coordinator Mara Kocho , BVP, Itanagar Chief Coordinator Tayum Tok and others.
