PASIGHAT, Oct 29: In view of forth coming 9th edition of North East Rider’s Meet to be held at Renging village near here amid breathtaking view of the Siang River from November 9 next, the Royal Siang Rider (Bullet Club) carried out a cleanliness drive which was flagged off this morning by DC East Siang, Tamiyo Tatak and EE PHED, Er. B Welly.

Opining that the event will also promote tourism while creating awareness on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Tatak informed that the administration has already declared East Siang plastic-free, including waste-free along Pasighat-Bodak, Mebo, Ruksin, Bilat and Rengging to promote tourism and for a clean environment.

Er. Welly disclosed that he is also a life member of Arunachal Bullet Club and his department PHED is part of the celebration as sponsorer for Swachh Arunachal Mission.

Later, the riders carried out a cleanliness drive along stretch of the National Highway at Raneghat Bridge where they also installed Bamboo made dustbins.
