KHONSA, Sep 11:A two day long “Mass Social Service” was conducted here at NH-315A from Khonsa to Joypore under Assam, covering a distance  52 kms on September 10 and 11 last, jointly organized by Tirap District Administration in collaboration Bazar Welfare Committee, PRIs, students and women organizations etc.

Appreciating those who participated, Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon disclosed that the initiative was taken up following several verbal complaints received from the public regarding pathetic roads condition and non-maintenance of NH-315A (Khonsa – Bogapani – Joypore) roads covering at least 52 kms by concerned department / entrusted contractors.

Further he appealed all the elected MLAs of Tirap District and counterpart Assam MLAs of Tinsukia/Naharkatia/Dibrugarh to take up the  matter with competent authority for permanent solution the strategic NH-315A ,which is the only lifeline of twin districts – Tirap and Longding.
