NEW DELHI, Nov 30: MoS Home Kiren Rijiju called on Minister Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India,  Hardeep Singh Puri at Nirman Bhawan today to discuss the Smart City proposal of Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh and other matters relating to urban growth in Arunachal Pradesh.   

Rijiju also requested a special initiative for refurbishment of the crucial rural administrative headquarters in all the administrative headquarters of Arunachal Pradesh to make them centres of population growth and development.  He also pointed out that Arunachal Pradesh often suffers because of the sparse population and large area.         

 Rijiju was accompanied by Jitendra Narain, Principal Secretary (Coord), A. Morang, Director (TP&ULB,) and Er. Tadar Tarang, EE (IMC).
