AALO, Sep 3:Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju carried out a whirlwind visit to many villages of West Siang district from September 1-2 last.

During his visit to Beye Ngomdir, Ngomdir, Doji Jeli, Eyi and Logum Jini, Rijiju was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner, Zilla Parishad Chairperson and Head of Departments.

While addressing series of meeting at different places, the Union Minister observed that West Siang district is worst in terms of road connectivity.

‘Government has already released the second installment of PMGSY road from Ngomdir to Beye which has around 7KM stretch to complete pitch road,’ he said also assuring to place additional fund during this financial year for road widening and other necessities.

He further assured to direct concerned agency to prepare DPR for alternate route connection from Piri Sago to Ngomdir. Responding to various memorandum submitted by all the villages, the MoS assured to sanction a community dere during current financial year at Beye Ngomdir and RCC community dere at Ngomdir village. He also assured renovation of hanging bridge at Logum Jini village among others.

On Saturday, Rijiju laid foundation stone of Mother Vision De-Addiction–cum-rehabilitation centre at Hikargumin, Aalo. Thereafter, he visited the general hospital and flagged-off an ambulance and inaugurated x-ray machine and dental x-ray machine supplied under CSR scheme and handed over medical equipment.
