ITANAGAR, Oct 26:A delegation of Ex Servicemen of Arunachal Pradesh led by Wing Commander Gyati Kago (Retd) called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan today.

The Ex-Servicemen briefed the Governor on challenges faced by them after their retirement and also various avenues of reemployment including in Police Department. They also raised the issue of Sainik School in the State.

The Governor advised them to render voluntary service to society and contribute towards the development of the state. He also exhorted them to utilize their expertise in different fields with discipline and transparency and to earn the admiration and gratitude of the people.

The Governor asked the Ex Servicemen to motivate the youth of the State to join the Indian Armed Forces which is the most respectable profession in the country.

The Governor emphasised that Rajya Sainik Board must be constituted at the earliest in the State so that the former members of Indian Armed Forces and Veer Naris can avail benefits from the welfare schemes of the Government of India.
