ITANAGAR, Dec 20:
‘Hamara Elan Swachhta aur Nari Utthan’- an initiative of the Raj Bhavan, Itanagar towards clean, green and plastic free Arunachal Pradesh for the New Year 2018 will start from January 8 next. Governor BD Mishra will be actively participating in the cleanliness campaign, a Raj Bhawan release informed.
Meanwhile, the District Administration Capital Complex has appealed the public to involve themselves in keeping their surroundings clean.
Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan urged upon every citizen of the Capital Complex to be part of the initiative.‘Let us change our mindset for greener and cleaner Capital City,’ he emphasized. He further informed that the door to door garbage collection is currently active in all the 30 wards of the Capital Complex and sought the cooperation of the citizens in making it a success. He has requested each and every citizen to hand over the garbage to the municipal labourers only.
The DC further informed that the new website for Itanagar (www.itanagar.nic.in) has all the details of the route plan, the pick points, the details of the drivers and labourers etc. Moreover, any complaints, suggestion, feedback regarding IMC may also be registered through My Itanagar App, informed the DC.
