ITANAGAR, Nov 20:The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind, on the concluding day of their visit to Itanagar, planted saplings of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) in the front lawn of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Monday prior to their departure from the Raj Bhavan.  

The President and the First Lady appreciated the effort of the personnel involved in the horticultural management at Raj Bhavan and complemented the arrangement for the traditional plantation event by the visiting dignitaries.

The President of India also appreciated the serenity and greenery of the Raj Bhawan and admired its excellent ambience.  

Governor BD Mishra and State’s First Lady Neelam Misra along with Raj Bhavan officials and staff were present on the occasion.
