NAMSAI, Feb 5:
Preparatory to the State Budget 2018-19,a consultative exercise was held at Namsai on February 3 last at DCs Conference Hall where Development Commissioner Ashis Kundra, interacted with Deputy Commissioners, District Planning Officers, Heads of Departments, Progressive Farmers, KVKs and University & college authorities of the districts in Eastern Division.While highlighting the priority sectors, the Development Commissioner requested all to put forward ideas and concepts to the state government so that aspirations of the people and the necessity of various districts is reflected in the Budget proposals for FY 2018-19.
The participants put forth innovative and new proposals which are needed to be initiated in Health, Education, Agri & Allied, infrastructure, and Tourism sectors. Proposals for gap filling of infrastructure were also put forward by Deputy Commissioners of 11 districts of eastern division.
In the meeting, apart from pre-budget discussion, progress of PMs and CMs flagship programs, District specific projects and implementation & impact of smart class scheme announced during last budget 2017-18 were reviewed by the Development Commissioner.
