ITANAGAR, Oct 30: The People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) today slammed the state BJP government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju for misusing state resources in the name of party rally.
In its press statement, President PPA, Kahfa Bengia opined that the BJP led state government in Arunachal Pradesh must be able to differentiate between the party organization and the government, as the government belongs to everybody irrespective of any party affiliations.
‘PPA condemns the way state government and Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju has organized a BJP party rally using the state resources in 20 Tali Assembly Constituency. Moreover this is an insult to the people of the constituency as well to the local MLA Markio Tado,' said Kahfa Bengia.
President PPA further asserted that the rally is only to undermine the democratically elected leader of 20 Tali Assembly Constituency Markio Tado. The party is unhappy over such a negative precedent developing in the state where the legislators belonging to the opposition party have to be humiliated in such a manner by arranging political programme without the consultation of the sitting MLA.
